Quickie

We all knew dog fucker would be devo-ed at the poor pooch passing, but here is a quickie list of some of her recent activity...

*Quit her part-time job due to grief

*Can't sleep without a cocktail of Grandma's sleeping pill and booze. (This one makes me a little bit happy, at least I'm not the only drunk in the family anymore!)

*Refuses to shower alone as she used to shower with the dog...

*Random bouts of crying (this one is actually acceptable for a while).

*Printing of 227, Yes 2-2-7 photos of the dog from her mobile phone to make a recent album to add to the other 16, that's right, 16, albums that she already has...

I'm as busy as all fuck, Ryota failed his fucking licence test and things are at a low point at the moment, I'm hoping they get better for all of us some time soon!

  1. This post makes me really, really sad.

Sad for your SIL I mean... she must have had a seriously sad life if her dog become THAT important to her.

Milo is without a doubt a part of my family and I would be devasted if she died. But no, I would never go as far as that. It's really siding on the creepy side of things!

I hope things start looking up for you guys soon xxx

  2. Agreed about the creepy factor. SHOWERING with a dog? Unbelievable. Even more unbelievable is that your MinL puts up with this crap in her home. That's more than a little enabling.

Perhaps with a bit more 'tough love' in the past, your SIL would have been able to get a life, instead of investing waaaaay too much time, energy, money, and emotion into an animal. Particularly one that was pretty much guaranteed to die before she does.

  3. OMG! I hadn't realized how bad it really was with her and the dog. Thank Christ it's dead now!

I'm sorry for Ryota. Can he try once more?

  4. Sounds like she needs serious counseling. This sounds so sad. I hope she gets some help

  5. I'm now starting to see why she was given the name that shew as given.

Also wasn't her job only once a week?

And if she can't shower alone then... who does she shower with? o.o

    1. Yup job was once a week, she's canelled indefinitely, told her boss she can't leave the house...

And she showers with her mum, although I sometimes send my 3 year old over, it saves me bathing him and I think he resembles a small dog more than my MIL...

  6. Showering and the photos...um...that's kind of a little bit beyond anything my tiny imagination could come up with.

If some hapless dude (lad) does something inadvertently that reminds her of her lost pooch, will it be destiny?

Maybe a fortune teller could help things along a bit.

  7. Okay, sometimes I really, really wondered how your SIL earned her pretty nickname, but the shower- and photo album-thing just blowed up my mind O.o This is crazy! I mean, I love my dogs back in Germany and would be devestated about a sudden death, but in no way could I become that crazy about it O.o Refuses to shower alone? Who has to shower with her now? Your MIL? O.o

    1. Yup, MIL... Crazy right! I get that she's upset, I cried when my cat died back home, but there's a difference between sad and... crazy!

  8. Yeah, inquiring minds need to know... Is she not showering? Or showering with another family member?

    1. Any family member will do it seems, but MIL is the usual candidate!

  10. Can't shower alone?!?! Did you know about this neurotic streak in the fam before you decided to marry? Do you wish you'd known? I suppose it's not as crazy for someone from a communal bathing country, as it would be for anyone else :/

  11. I can't help but think that she must have become such a person due to her family not really caring about what happened to her. With the right encouragement, I'm sure she could have been more than (admittedly) amusing blog fodder

  12. If embalming the poor pooch isn't possible there's always this alternative - lifelike replicas made out of felt!
http://www.midofelt.com/ Don't know how long felt takes to dry after a shower though... Facetious comments aside I hope she gets better soon!

  13. I feel sorry for your sister in law but her love is extreme and her attachment issues can't be good for her mental health. It is funny to read about but I hope her family will get her some help. Surely they can't consider this behaviour normal?

  14. She definitely seems to have mental health issues. But I'm guessing the Japanese aren't too big on talking to therapists/counselors/etc.

  15. So no job, no money and serious screwed in the head? Lovely. Just what Japan needs. Another J female who expects someone to look after her for the rest of her life.

How you manage with that family is beyond me!

  17. Wow. I had no idea she was THAT obsessed with her dog.

  19. My blogs top right side widget is my Princess. I get the pet grieving thing. I sympathize. If someone said (Bizzaro world coming)

"Hey go kill that stranger and I'll give you 18 more years with your cat"

I'd kill without a second thought and the only joke is the hypothetical...not my answer.

    I hope she gets better.
