When I ran it 2 years ago I took 90 minutes so I was well impressed that despite pushing a watermelon out of my nostril this year I did the chubby gaijin community proud and finished in style!
I was chickening out biiiiggggg time the night before and moaning that I wasn't going to be able to do it, luckily Ryochan slapped me about the head (in a metaphorical sense) and told me to wake up to myself and just have fun. He said if I wasn't having fun then I really should quit and he was right, I was forgetting why I like running.
I've been pretty busy this week with a new private student and I also got my spouse visa this week so I've been a busy little bee!
Looking forward to nothing but a bit of housework and coffee with Sassymoo tomorrow!
OK, here are some marathoney piccies!
Totally out of order buuuuttt....
With BIL and my number...
Next is a half marathon... Ganbaru waaaaaa!!!!
Congrats! You must be so proud of yourself!! I love the pink running gear
ReplyDeleteWell done - that's brilliant. There is no way I could run 10 kms in that time - I've done 5 km in 30 mins but that extra distance screws me every time.
ReplyDeleteCan I ask for your help on something - one of my friends is coming to Japan in March and was going to run in the Kyoto marathon but that's fallen through for some reason. Do you know of any alternative fun runs (marathon/half marathon) around that time? I'm not sure of her itinerary but think its fairly flexible.
congrats on a great run and great time!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pink running clothes!!!!!!
ReplyDelete10kms=you totally rock!!!!!
On behalf of the chubby gaijin community I`d like to thank you for doing something, that most of us would find impossible, for all the doubting Japanese to see,and for doing it in cute pink clothes! Simply awesome!
Wow! Congratulations!! What an achievement - I know there is no way that I would be able to run 10kms in the time you did... actually I doubt I would be able to run it at all, lol!
ReplyDeleteI too love the pink running clothes. You looked awesome!
